Join us Friday, August 29 for A Night For Sight—an intimate VIP dinner celebrating exceptional food, community, and purpose. This special evening sets the stage for the Meat & Tater BBQ Fest and supports a cause that truly matters.

Enjoy a multi-course dinner prepared by World Champion Pitmaster & Chef Brad Leighninger of Gettin’ Basted (Branson, Missouri), featuring Snake River Farms American Wagyu beef and Kurobuta pork. Each course will be paired with wines from Proletariat Winery, creating a refined dining experience rooted in barbecue excellence.

Every ticket and raffle entry helps support the Meridian Lions, Lions International and fund Envision Sight, an Idaho-based nonprofit transforming lives through access to vision and hearing care. Their work includes:

  • Restoring Vision – Nearly 300 corneal transplants performed annually through Idaho’s only eye bank
  • Providing Care – Eye exams, glasses, and hearing aids for those without access or insurance
  • Recycling for Good – Donated glasses and hearing aids repurposed for underserved communities locally and abroad

ABOUT THE CHEF
Brad Leighninger is a world champion pitmaster, chef, and the culinary force behind a growing string of successful restaurants in Branson, Missouri, including the award-winning Gettin’ Basted. Known for his bold Ozarks-style barbecue and hot-and-fast, live-fire cooking, Brad brings precision, creativity, and serious flavor to everything he touches—from competition brisket to elevated plated dinners.

With more than 80 championship wins, Brad is among the most decorated pitmasters in the country. His trophy case includes top honors from nearly every major BBQ competition, including The Jack Daniel’s Invitational, Memphis in May, King of the Smoker, and more.

Most recently, Brad brought his signature swagger to Food Network’s BBQ Brawl, where he finished as the runner-up in a season finale so close, it came down to a tie-breaker decision by the judges. His no-holds-barred approach—both at the smoker and on screen—made him a fan favorite and a formidable presence in the BBQ arena. We’re excited to welcome Brad to Idaho and look forward to an unforgettable night of culinary excitement.
